This is a small course, and the conditions aren't as challenging as some of the other courses in town, but it's well-kept and the staff are friendly. I'd recommend this to any golfer who wanted a nice relaxed game, and wasn't too much of a stickler on the difficulty of his courses (a real serious player won't find too great of a challenge here), and my 3/5 Greens conditions score is mostly based on the fact that I went in January.

Patty Jewett Golf Club - Nine Hole of Colorado Springs, CO

Patty Jewett is an fairly average golf course. It has some fun little par 3 holes . The only part I didn't like is it seems to be a little overcrowded. The starts are not very spaced out so you end up either waiting on people ahead of you or someone is waiting for you to finish your hole. The staff could be friendlier.

Course was in great shape, would have loved it if I wasn't playing golf. Rangers do not care if you are on pace or behind. Once you pay and leave #1 your are taking up space on this course. They buzz every couple of holes and herd you through the round and out the door as fast as they can move you. Relaxation and fun do not exist here. Find more fun at the dentist office, at least they try to make it painless!

I just golfed this course yesterday for the first time. It was a pretty good deal, $34 included the cart, and it provided a challenge for me but wasn't impossible. Hyland Hills (its actually spelled hyland) is a very pretty course and you can enjoy a few good views of the front range while you golf. There are actually two 18 hole courses at Hyland Hills, and I can't wait to get back and play the other one.

Highland Hills is a great course to play. The fairways and greens are well maintained except for they have a problem keeping the leaves off the course. A lot of lost balls seem to hide under those leaves! Make sure you stop in at Bogey's the beer is always cold and the waitresses are hot! Also, the guys who run the front desk are always willing to work with you on a tee time in case one of your buddies are late.

This is a very nice course with a scenic background. however, i would recommend it to expert golfers and not beginners as it requires a lot of skill.
